Os AND ALSO THE TREES são uma das bandas de maior culto do velhocontinente e o FESTIVAL FADE IN tem o privilégio de os apresentar pelaprimeira vez e num rigoroso exclusivo em Portugal.
O Teatro José Lúcio da Silva será, pois, o palco nacional onde os míticos britânicos irãorevisitar e celebrar os mais de 30 anos de carreira, numa investida artística iniciada em 1979 e incitada pelos amigos THE CURE banda com a qual, posteriormente, fizeram diversas digressões.
Para comemorar esta autêntica efeméride, a banda dos carismáticos irmãos Simon e Justin Jones preparou um concerto antológico que percorrerá quase todos os clássicos da sua carreira, entre os quais estarão "Dialogue", "Virus Meadow", "Candace", "Jacob Feet", "Accordion Girl", "Fight In A Lighthouse"e "Shaletown".
Um concerto electrizante, com uma secção rítmica experiente, onde uma guitarra dedilhada de forma única tece, qual filigrana, a alcova ideal onde se deita uma voz inconfundível.
Influenciados pelo movimento pós-punk que surgiu em Inglaterra na viragemda década de 70 para 80 e, particularmente, pelo ambiente paisagístico bucólico e rural das históricas colinas de Malvern junto de Worcestershire (de onde são oriundos) os AND ALSO THE TREES souberam alicerçar a sua carreira numa toada regular de qualidade, reflectida nos catorze álbuns de estúdio unanimemente aclamados pela crítica especializada e fãs.
A riquíssima e personalizada obra dos AND ALSO THETREES é hoje alvo de admiração de fãs de origens tão díspares como asdos Joy Division e Bauhaus, Calexico e Ennio Morricone, Scott Walker e TomWaits.
Este será o primeiro espectáculo imperdível do FESTIVAL FADE IN 2010 que este ano comemora o seu 10ª aniversário!
